FATHERS OF FASHION AW’25
Let’s be honest, fatherhood isn’t just a title. It’s a full-time flex.
From early-morning school runs to late-night grafts, being a dad in today’s world means showing up, stepping up and staying sharp. It’s navigating growth, responsibility and a wardrobe that works just as hard as you do. It’s about being present, even when life’s busy, and finding that balance between providing, protecting and personal style. There’s no manual for being a great dad, just like there’s no blueprint for dress sense, so we’re spotlighting the guys who are prime examples of both.
This Father’s Day at MARKHAM, we’re saluting the gents who manage to show up and stand tall while serving serious style. The ones who turn everyday fits into statements, set the pace and do it their way: the dads punting more than just great fashion, but wearing their roles with pride and moving with intention.
Makazole Mapimpi’s approach to fatherhood is real, reflective and always intentional. He knows when to lock in and when to slow it down. Mapimpi shows up where it matters most. This Father’s Day at MARKHAM, we’re celebrating the Sharks legend for carrying into fatherhood the same strength that helped him make history with the Springboks, and his knack for balancing life’s ebbs and flows while staying sharp and stylish.
Kenyan-born, Joburg-based photographer Cedric Nzaka takes more than just pictures; he captures presence, purpose and the pulse of the streets. embodies what it means to show up with intention, in both fatherhood and fashion. For him, the way his daughter walks, laughs, or rocks her big afro feels like a quiet kind of magic.
As the creative lead and head of design at Jonathan D, Dale Strime is the driving force behind the brand’s evolution from old-school to on-point. He’s featured in Markham’s Father’s Day campaign for bringing that same sharp vision to fatherhood, showing that true style starts with authenticity – whether you’re leading a brand or raising a family.
Between painting and dancing as a kid to rocking stages like iPantsula, iKasi Experience, Ivyson Tour and Ubumnandi Festival, Bravo Le Roux has always been about energy, passion and clean living. We salute him for bringing that same fire to fatherhood, always present, always impactful.
Stormers scrum half and content creator Imaad Khan brings speed, precision, and big-match energy, always. Immy’s commitment and strength are visible when leads by example as a dad and owns every role he plays on and off the field.
They’ve all shaped fatherhood on their own terms; some are laidback, some are bold, all are intentional, because fatherhood, much like fashion, is personal. It’s about what works for you and how you show up in it. And these gents? They’ve got it locked.
