Fancy a picnic, good music and beautiful scenery to see out 2022? At the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts New Year’s Eve event you can expect just that. A highlight on the annual calendar, the concert is hosted in the heart of the botanical gardens, where you can dance your way into 2023 beneath the stars. Headlined by South African hitmakers, Mi Casa, with an upbeat opening act by jazz sensations Swing City, it’s sure to be an unforgettable night!

Alcazar

Alcazar is an epic extravaganza boasting eclectic music, impressive staging and flamboyant performances from the foot of Table Mountain – which is why it attracts more than 5 000 party-goers annually. This year, the theme draws from the Aztec civilisation and the Mayan Palenque. Dress to the theme – or don’t, either way the line-up will have you dancing the night away to the sounds of tech house, Nu-disco and hip hop.

DURBAN

Summerdaze NYE Beach Party

In summer, not much beats a beach party… the wind in your hair, sand beneath your feet, a drink in hand, and the sound of waves crashing in unison with groovy beats. If this is your vibe, you need to head over to Beachwood Beach on the 31st of December. The Summerdaze NYE Beach Party promises dancefloors, lounges, a bar, good food and great music.

Fact Durban Rocks at People’s Park

Founded by DJ Tira, Fact Durban Rocks is one marked in the calendar ahead of time by many. This year the event is taking place at People’s Park Moses Mabhida Stadium. You can expect performances from some of South Africa’s finest, including K.O, Shimza, DJ Tira, Q Twins, Blxckie and more.

NYE Soweto Theatre in Colours

Soweto Theatre in partnership with Smart Hire will host the NYE celebration, Soweto In Colours Countdown 2023. What’s NYE in Joburg without H20? The party, hosted at Wild Waters in Boksburg, has been making waves since 1999.
