Pack away your Docs and your boots, go for a pedicure (trust us) and then, get your summer shoe wardrobe sorted with our selection of six must-haves.

1. Slides

Slides are like the Swiss Army Knife of shoes more stylish-yet-convenient footwear does not exist. They’re built for comfort and made to be worn when closed shoes just won’t do. Wear them while lounging around the house, at the beach or pool, and even when just casually running errands.

2. Casual sneakers

Sneakers are a year-round staple, but mix it up for summer with a new style or shade. They work with almost every outfit and for (almost) every occasion. Whether purely functional or an eye-catching statement pair, your summer wardrobe is incomplete without a good pair of sneakers.

3. Sandals

Beat the heat in summer sandals, the ideal breathable footwear for hotter months. A little smarter than sliders, with sandals you don’t need to compromise on style. Thin-strapped sandals are out this season, being replaced with thicker thongs that make a statement.

From classic Birkenstocks to the gladiator-esque, there’s something for everyone. Pair them with relaxed-fit shorts and an open-necked golfer for a casual yet sophisticated look.

4. The Dress Shoe

At this time of the year there are many formal events to attend from business functions and year-end parties to weddings and fine-dining outings. When the occasion calls for your Sunday best, a good pair of dress shoes are essential and you can’t go wrong with a classic pair of black or brown leather oxfords.

5. The Minimalist Sneaker

When oxfords are too formal and your everyday sneaker is too casual, a classic pair of minimalist sneakers will do. The perfect ‘tick’ for a smart-casual dress code, they pair well with a suit to make it less dressy or level-up a jeans-and-tee combo.

6. Chunky Loafers

The loafer is making a strong comeback this season. Bridging the gap between formal and smart, allow yourself to experiment with your style by adding a pair of chunky loafers to the mix. Combine them with everything from lightweight pants and a linen shirt or even a classic suit.

Start the season in style with a variety of shoes that’ll have you prepared for any occasion!
